2012-13: Mitchell averaged 11.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game as a sophomore. She totaled 305 points, 169 rebounds, 69 assists, 39 steals and 30 blocks during the season. 

Mitchell finished her career with 688 points (11.9/game), 360 rebounds (6.2/game), 161 assists, 71 steals and 85 blocks. The athletic guard finished her career in the top 20 of the program's all-time career scoring list.

She was named the OCCAC Player of the Week on Feb. 17.

2011-12: Mitchell was the team's third leading scorer as a freshman, while pouring in 12.4 points per game. She started 27 games while also adding 6.2 rebounds, three assists, just under two blocks per game and just over one steal per game. Her rebounding numbers were fourth on the team. Moreover, she scored 383 points overall, while leading the team in three point field goal percentage (58-for-167, 35 percent). Following the season, Mitchell was named Second Team All-OCCAC.

Prior to Owens: Mitchell starred at Detroit MLK, averaged eight points and four rebounds her senior year, and helped her team win district titles her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Additionally, she participated in track and was an All-City runner in cross country her senior year. Academically, Mitchell was an honor roll student as a freshman.
