Perrysburg, OH---Express women's soccer player Kendra Eitniear and Express men's basketball player James Kelly were named the Express Female and Male Athletes of the Year at the 2013 Owens Express Athletic Awards Banquet held at Hilton Garden Inn on Sunday.

Williams Named Head Coach of Express Men's Golf Program
Toledo, OH---Josh Williams has been named the head men's golf coach at Owens Community College. He becomes the third head coach in the program's history and succeeds Gil Guerrero, who retired after coaching the team for the past six years.

Adrian, MI---Jordan Basinger came to Owens on a baseball scholarship. After a standout sophomore year with the Express men's basketball team, he will join Siena Heights University as a two-sport athlete.

The Express softball and baseball teams each placed six student-athletes on the All-OCCAC Academic Team this past year, while 20 student-athletes overall earned OCCAC All-Academic honors.

Award Renamed, Student-Athletes Spotlighted Saturday
Toledo, OH - The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) will honor the legacy of former Express Director of Athletics Michael Rickard, who passed away unexpectedly in December 2010 by, officially renaming the Athletic Director of the Year award after Rickard and presenting the first award to the members of his family.
