2013-14: Allen will go down as one of the top offensive rebounding point guards in program history. As a sophomore, he averaged 4.5 points, 3.1 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. He totaled 139 points as a sophomore.

During his two-year career, Allen totaled 258 points, 156 rebounds, 240 assists, 86 steals and three blocks. Of his 156 rebounds, 61 came on the offensive glass.

2012-13: Allen, who started seven games and saw action in 34, averaged 3.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game as a freshman. He totaled 118 points, 80 rebounds, 143 assists, 42 steals and one block.

Allen finished second on the team in assists behind Joe Retic II.

Prior to Owens: Allen is a 2012 graduate of Detroit Crockett, where he was named Honorable Mention All-Detroit by the Detroit Free Press and the Detroit News, as well as Honorable Mention Class B All-State. He played for coach Juan Rickman.

Personal: Markese is the son of Lawrence Allen and Tomiko McDonald. He has two siblings - Quantrinique Johnson and Alante Allen.
