Griffin Signs With Express Women, Becomes First Member of 2013-14 Freshmen Class

Edgerton, OH---Hannah Griffin, a 5'11" forward, became the first member of the 2013-14 Express women's basketball freshmen class Wednesday night after signing a letter of intent at her high school.

As a senior, Griffin was named First Team All-Green Meadows Conference and Second Team All-District while leading her team to a sectional championship.

She previously earned Second Team All-GMC and Honorable Mention All-District honors.

Coached by Kelly Thiel, Hannah is the daughter of Dan and Jana Griffin. She has two sisters, Sonya and Sadie and plans on majoring in education.

The Express women's basketball team finished 28-8 last season and advanced to the NJCAA D-II National Tournament, where they finished seventh in the nation. During the season, they captured the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) championship, as well as the Region XII District I championship. Their 28 wins marked the second most in a single season.
