TOLEDO, Ohio --- The No. 2 ranked Owens women's volleyball team (10-4, 1-1 OCCAC) will travel to Springfield, Ohio to face Clark State (2-2, 0-1) at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The Express, who have won four of their past five matches, is 8-0 against Clark State since 2015 while dropping just one set during that stretch. The programs did not compete against each other from 2008-14, and the last time the Eagles won in the series came in 2007.

Owens will enter the match as the only team at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III level with two players among the top 10 in the country in assists as Emily Fallis (Toledo, Ohio/Southview HS) ranks sixth with 242, while Jessica Dohm (Swanton, Ohio/Swanton HS) is eighth with 180.

A large reason for those assist numbers has been the offensive production of Maddie White (Ottawa, Ohio/Ottawa-Glandorf HS), who ranks among the nation's top 15 in several categories - kills per set (3.57, 5th), digs (109, T-8th), hitting percentage (.310, 10th) and blocks (21, 10th)

The presence of White, along with Alexis Sarvo and Taylor Momany, also gives Owens one of two teams nationally with three players ranked among the nation's top 10 in total blocks, along with Rock Valley. Sarvo (Swanton, Ohio/Swanton HS) leads the country with 41, while Momany (Millbury, Ohio/Lake HS) is a close second with 40.

In terms of solo blocks, Sarvo (19) and Momany (17) rank fifth and sixth, while Momany's 23 block assists is No. 1 in the country. Sarvo (22, T-2nd), McKenna Babcock (Metamora, Ohio/Evergreen HS) (14, T-8th) and White (13, T-12) are also among the leaders in block assists.

Sydney Alford's (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic HS) 118 digs are fifth-most in the country, and her 16 aces rank 15th.

Notes
Owens was scheduled to travel to Lakeland Community College on Friday, but the match was postponed and rescheduled for Oct. 6. They'll conclude the current road stretch at Lorain County Community College on Wednesday.
