Toledo, OH---The No. 6-ranked Express swept Macomb Community College and Jackson Community College at home on Saturday in easy fashion.
In a 25-21, 25-20, 26-24 win over Macomb, Brittany Egbert (Hopewell-Loudon/Fostoria, Ohio) led the team with 13 kills, while Julia Haupricht (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio) had six. Allison Seifker (Monroeville/Norwalk, Ohio) and Whitney Hoodlebrink (Eastwood/Pemberville, Ohio) each had five. Erin Schatzle (Monroe/Monroe, Mich.) led the team in assists with 19, while Ellie Comes (Southview/Sylvania, Ohio) led in digs with 24. Haupricht and Bethany Critchley (Toledo Christian/Toledo, Ohio) each had two aces.
In a 25-23, 25-18, 25-15 win over Jackson, Egbert, Seifker and Crowell each had seven kills to lead the team, while Haupricht had five. Schatzle had 13 assists to lead, while Molly Hilfinger (Anthony Wayne/Whitehouse, Ohio) had 11. Comes, once again, led in digs with 11. Haupricht had four assisted blocks to lead the team, while Egbert had two solo blocks and two assisted blocks.
The Express are now 39-3 overall and 10-0 in the OCCAC. They will play their final home match of the regular season Wednesday against Sinclair Community College beginning at 6 p.m.
