No. 5 Express Routs Cuyahoga, Stays Undefeated In OCCAC

Toledo, OH---The season of winning streaks continued for the No. 5 Express volleyball team Wednesday as they defeated Cuyahoga Community College 25-7, 25-6, 25-8 to win their sixth straight match.

Owens opened the season with five straight wins before suffering its first loss. Then, the Express rattled off 18 consecutive wins before losing again. Now, they're on their current streak.

Julia Haupricht (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio) led the team with eight kills, while Brittany Egbert (Hopewell-Loudon/Fostoria, Ohio) had six. Emily Crowell (Parkway/Rockford, Ohio) and Allison Seifker (Monroeville/Norwalk, Ohio) each had five.

Crowell led the team with six assists, while Alyssa Pelish (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio) and Molly Hilfinger (Anthony Wayne/Whitehouse, Ohio) each had three.

The Express (29-2, 8-0 OCCAC) will be going for their 30th win of the season against Edison State Community College in an OCCAC matchup next Wednesday on the road at 6 p.m.
