Overview: Meyer is a prototypical defensive role player who averaged 2.5 points per game last year.
Owens career: Meyer scored 79 points in 32 games (3 starts) as a freshman. She had 59 rebounds, 34 assists, 31 steals and seven blocks. She was named to the OCCAC All-Academic team and was the team's Defensive Player of the Year.
Prior to Owens: Meyer earned All-Northwest Ohio Athletic League Second Team and All-Northwest Ohio Second Team honors while playing at Patrick Henry. She was a member of the Bryan Times All-Star team, received the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award, was named hte team's Defensive POY for three years and team MVP her final two years. Academically, Meyer won the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Gold and Silver Scholar Athlete awards.
