Owens career: In 2008-09, Hooker received the team's Most Improved Player award and was an NJCAA All-Region XII tournament team selection. She averaged 3.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and one assist per game.

High school: 2008 Whitmer High School graduate, Toledo, Ohio, where she was Second Team All-City League and Honorable Mention All-District. In addition, Hooker was named to the City League All-Academic and district all-star teams.
