Owens career: In 2003-04, Johnson was selected to the NJCAA D-II Academic All-American team and earned Academic All-OCCAC honors. In addition, her postseason honors included selection as Owens' Coaches Award recipient. Johnson averaged 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds.

High School: 2002 Northview High School graduate, Sylvania, Ohio, where she was a First Team and Second Team All-Northern Lakes League and a two-time Second Team All-District selection. A member of the National Honor Society, Johnson was named the Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
