Owens career: In 2000-02, she averaged 1.8 points per game and had 16 rebounds and 12 assists. Her honors included being named to the OCCAC All-Academic team.

High School: Carlson High School, Gibraltar, Michigan, where she was All-Conference, All-Region and Honorable Mention All-State as a junior and senior. A three-year team captain in basketball, she also earned three varsity letters in volleyball.
