Owens Softball Poised for Breakout 2025-26 Season

Looking ahead to the 2025–26 season, the Owens Community College softball team has a strong foundation to build on after a competitive 2024–25 campaign. The Express finished last season with a 10–9 overall record, showing steady improvement and the ability to stay competitive throughout the schedule. While the record reflected a season of close games and learning moments, the production at the plate pointed toward a team trending in the right direction.

Offensively, Owens was one of the more productive lineups in Division III last season. In just 19 games, the Express scored 170 runs while posting a .379 team batting average, a .452 on-base percentage. That level of efficiency highlighted an offense capable of creating scoring chances, combining patience, contact, and power to keep pressure on opposing pitchers.

As the new season approaches, those numbers set expectations for continued growth and consistency. With a coaching staff focused on development and execution, Owens enters 2025–26 looking to turn last year's offensive success into a more complete team performance. If the Express can build off their production at the plate while tightening play across the field, they have the potential to turn a winning foundation into a breakout season.
