Evans Inks With Express Softball, Becomes First Member Of 2013-14 Freshmen Class

Jackson, MI---Chelsea Evans, a 5'7" pitcher from Grass Lake High School, recently signed with Express softball to became the first member of 2013-14 freshmen class.

The Grass Lake, MI native has been named All-Cascades Conference (2010, 2011 and 2012), All-District (2010, 2011 and 2012), All-Region (2012) and Honorable Mention All-State (2012).

As a freshman, she struck out 21 in a doubleheader against Addison. As a junior, she struck out eight in a regional semifinal win over Homer. During that senior year, she won 18 games while striking out 129 batters with a 0.67 ERA.

During her career, she has allowed only 16 runs in 137 innings, while striking out 418 batters. She is 32-9 overall with a 0.82 ERA.

Evans, who plans on majoring in dental hygiene, is coached by Roger Cook at Grass Lake High School.

Chelsea is the daughter of Charles and Jodi Evans.  She has two siblings, Elliott and Wyatt.
