Owens career: In 2001, she was 12th in the OCCAC with a .387 batting average and ninth in the OCCAC for RBI with 14. Selected as the team's most improved player, Welsh also earned Honorable Mention All-OCCAC honors and ranked 17th in the NJCAA with 38 RBI overall.

High School: Welsh earned All-District honors in soccer in 1998 and 1999.
