2011-12: Following a freshman year of baseball only, Basinger joined the Express men's basketball team at mid-season this year. He averaged 7.1 points and 5.9 rebounds in 18 games. Basinger led the Express in field goal percentage (53-94, 56.4%).
2010-11: Basinger went 4-2 with a 5.64 ERA last season. He appeared in eight games, while starting seven, en route to 30.1 innings pitched, 32 hits allowed, 25 runs, 19 earned runs, 22 walks, 17 strikeouts and a .269 batting average against.
Prior to Owens: Basinger was a 1,000 point scorer in basketball at Kalida, but came to Owens on a baseball scholarship. Overall, he was a member of the baseball, basketball and soccer teams at Kalida. In baseball, he was First Team All-Putnam County League his sophomore and senior seasons. In basketball, he was earned First Team All-PCL his final three seasons, PCL Player of the Year his senior year, First Team All-District 8, All-Region, All-Ohio his final two years, and he was a member of the state runner-up team his junior year. In soccer, he was First Team All-PCL his final two years. His greatest personal sports thrill is hitting a half-court shot to win the sectional final game in 2008.
Personal: Jordan is the son of Jeff and Lori Recker. He is a pre-business administration major at Owens.
