Owens Athletic Department Set To Induct Second HOF Class Sept. 30
September 30, 2017Toledo, Ohio---Owens Community College will induct its second annual athletic hall of fame class on Sept. 30 in the Audio Visual Classroom Center on the Toledo campus. This year's inductees include former men's basketball head coach Jim Welling, women's basketball student-athlete Amy Amstutz, former college president Daniel H. Brown and the 1992-93 men's basketball national championship team. -
Owens Volleyball Lands College Record 7 NJCAA Academic Awards, Mossing Also Honored
July 28, 2017Toledo, Ohio---The Owens Community College women's volleyball team produced the highest team grade point average in program history in 2016-17, along with the 13th best team grade point average among National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) schools - across all divisions. In doing so, the program was named an NJCAA Academic Team Award recipient for the fifth straight season.
