Gabrielle Hope Thelen enters her second season with Women’s basketball as an Assistant Coach with the Express.

Thelen began her coaching career as a volunteer assistant, where she spent two seasons with women’s soccer program and one season with women’s basketball program at Jackson College.

In Fall of 2022, she became the women’s basketball assistant coach for Lourdes University.

During Thelen’s time in college she was involved in three sports, making her a member of a different sport for each college she attended.

She began her college athletic career as a member of the Women’s soccer team for two seasons at Jackson College. She then walked on as a novice rower for Temple University, competing in the 2018-2019 season. During this season, she competed in the collegiate indoor rowing race, Center City Slam, hosted by Drexel University, finishing with a Silver Medal as an individual in the Novice race. She finished her season with the team taking home the 2019 Jefferson Dad Veil Regatta Title at their home course, The Schuylkill River. Due to COVID allowing her a remaining year of eligibility, became a member on the Women’s golf team for Lourdes University for the 2023-2024 season.

Thelen is a 2021 graduate of Temple University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport and Recreation Management. Previously, she earned her Associate Degree from Jackson College, American Honors in 2018.

Thelen is currently pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration at Lourdes University.
