Flint Hamady's Taylor To Solidify PG Position For Express Women's Basketball

Flint, MI---Nandi Taylor, a 5-4 point guard from Flint Hamady HS in Flint, MI, has signed with the Express women's basketball team.

A native of Mount Morris, MI, she brings championship pedigree and an accomplished individual background.

Taylor was part of Flint Hamady's 2010 state championship team, and she led the Genessee Area Conference, as well as the state of Michigan, in triple doubles and steals her senior year. Additionally, she was second in the state in assists.

"Nandi's athleticism and positive nature at the point guard position will solidify our leadership and attitude as we will be a preseason top ten junior college," said Express women's basketball head coach Michael Llanas.

She had five triple doubles and eight games of double digit steals her senior year while averaging 12 points and 8.7 assists per game as a team captain. Taylor also ran track and played volleyball, where she was a three year captain and unanimous decision First Team All-GAC her senior year.

As a senior, the Flint Journal named Taylor Second Team All-Area and described her as follows: "Taylor's all-around game was invaluable to the Hawks' success this season. Capable of scoring when needed, Taylor also tallied multiple triple-doubles this season."

Taylor, who played for coach Keith Smith at Hamady, will join Kamilah Carter, a 5-4 point guard from Ann Arbor Pioneer HS, Jordyn Bond, a 5-7 guard/forward from Romulus HS, Taylor Marks, a 5-8 guard/forward from Flint Beecher HS, Meshia Smith, a 5-11 forward from Pontiac HS, Breonna House, a 5-6 guard from Pontiac HS, Eboni Adams, a 5-7 guard from Cleveland Maples Heights HS, and Malaysha Cammon, a 6-5 center from Dearborn Divine Child HS.
