Prior to Owens: Sheets comes to Owens following a decorated career at Carrollton. During her senior year, she was named First Team All-Northeastern Buckeye Conference, First Team All-District and Second Team All-Ohio honors. She was named First Team All-NBC and First Team All-District her junior year, and Second Team All-NBC and First Team All-District her junior year. Sheets also earned Second Team All-District honors her freshman year. Team awards included winning the team’s Offensive Player of the Year award her freshman year and the All Around Player of the Year award her sophomore, junior and senior years under head coach Janet Sheets. Aside from pitching, Sheets finished sixth in her conference in hitting her junior year with a .480 batting average, fourth in on base percentage (.594), and second in RBIs (33). Her greatest personal sports thrill was winner the Super World Series in a 12 and under league.

Personal: Lexi is the daughter of Mark and Janet Sheets. Her mother, who was her high school coach, and her sister, Chelsea, played softball at West Liberty University. She is an associate of arts general concentration major at Owens.
