All four goals for the Express came within a five minute span in the first half.
Miller, who remains among the nation's leaders in goals scored, opened the scoring with a strike from about 30 yards out on an assist from Ortega-Gonzalez at the 17:52 mark. Miller added a second goal at the 19:57 mark on an assist from Webber.
Webber then scored a goal of his own at the 21:00 mark on an assist from Derrick Skillman before Ortega-Gonzalez closed the scoring with a goal at the 22:00 mark on an assist from Webber.
Miller finished with two goals, Webber had one goal and two assists, and Ortega-Gonzalez had his best game of the season as he scored his second goal of the year, along with his first assist of the year.
Miller upped his season goal total to 14 through the season's first 10 games. That puts him one off the nation's lead for most goals scored, while also keeping him within striking distance of Sean Bucknor's single-season record for most goals scored (28).
Meanwhile, Webber solidified his status as the team's second leading scorer with his sixth goal, as well has his sixth and seventh assists, which is a team-high.
Troy Watson, who has been out since the season opening win over Cincinnati State, returned to the starting lineup today for the Express.
The Express (7-2-1 overall) improved to 3-0 within the OCCAC and 5-1-1 in Region XII. They have the next nine days off before traveling to Muskegon Community College on Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. The Jayhawks are currently undefeated within Region XII, so it is a big matchup for postseason positioning.
