2012-13: In his one year with the Express, Washington averaged 2.1 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. He totaled 59 points, 73 rebounds and 18 blocks while seeing action in 28 games. He started two contests.

Prior to Owens: Washington redshirted last season after spending one season with Columbus State Community College, where he was part of a team that went to the NJCAA D-II National Tournament. He is a 2007 graduate of Roy C. Start HS, where he played power forward/center for coach Gil Guerrero.

Personal: Darius is the son of Daryel Washington and Paula King. He has two brothers, Daryel and Demetrius Washington.
